Robin Hood, 2026
£2,600 for Prostate Cancer UK
The group began after Mike's prostate cancer diagnosis inspired Penny to stage a pantomime in support of Prostate Cancer UK. Through donations and fundraising around two sold-out Robin Hood performances, TRASH Players raised £2,600 for the charity.

Local generosity
A raffle built by the Ribble Valley
Diane Cootes approached local businesses and residents for prizes. Previous support included a builder for a day, a Clitheroe football shirt, an Accrington Stanley football, £100 cash, beauty vouchers and weekend breaks.
Production costs
TRASH Players is funded through annual fundraising, personal support from Penny and Mike, and cast contributions. Cast members bought their own Robin Hood costumes.
Wireless microphones
A current group goal is to fund wireless microphones, helping future audiences hear every joke, song and line.
